Marketing New Year's Resolutions

Go to the gym, eat healthy food, ring Mum more often - you've made New Year's Resolutions for yourself but what about for your business?

Here are some marketing ideas that might give your business a kick-start this New Year, but without the drudgery of endless trips to the gym in the cold.

  • Missed out on Christmas Cards this year? Send out a New Year offer mailer to your customers and prospects and get them buying from you. Don't put it off just because your customer database isn't in tip-top shape - ring unity*dc on 01628 200200 and we can sort it out for you!
  • Ring those people that you met in November & December that you never got around to calling before Christmas. Don't worry - chances are they were just as busy as you before Christmas so a quick New Year call will go down well.
  • Invest some time working on your positioning. With a long recession looming, it's worth spending some time re-evaluating your company's positioning, so you're at your most competitive. It's often best to have an outside facilitator to ensure an unbiased outcome - we got an excellent result with Matthias Gruendler of Shirlaws Coaching.
  • Get a business portrait done. Is the photo of you on your website and on LinkedIn some nasty old mugshot? You'll look much more dynamic and successful with a proper business portrait, and it only takes an hour or so. Put your photo on your business card and your card is 5 times more memorable. Call John Cassidy on 01344 489704 to book an appointment and tell him we sent you.
  • Update your website with some news or a case study. A website which hasn't been updated for more than 3 months makes your business look as stale as old Christmas cake. Spruce it up with some news dated 2009 or an inspirational new case study.
